Crookchella Recap…

This past weekend I had a chance to check out the first week of Coachella…Didn’t really know what to expect, being it was my first time checking it out. I knew it was gonna be crazy but all my expectations were definitely exceeded!

First stop was checking in to grab out “S” Badges & credentials for our Safari tent. I know what you’re thinking…Coachella tent life?? This wasn’t a regular Big 5 Sporting Goods tent. It was the ultimate tent for the “Glamping” experience. 2 queen size beds, Air conditioned, 24 hour concierge service for food & alcohol, last but not lease…VIP golf cart to take you from stage to stage!

Before we headed out to the festival grounds, we went to check out the homie Kenny Mac at the Belve house…

Off to check out the grounds…

The first show we checked out was Frank Ocean, backed by the band Bad Bad Not Good.

Dope set…They had some sound difficulties at the end but it was still dope!

Off to the main stage to check out The Black Keys…

When we got to the main stage it was a little over whelming…The stage was the biggest shit I’ve ever see before! & 20,000+ people at your back was a little uneasy… but it definitely gave it that WOW factor!

We went to check out the artist community in between shows…This is where all the Main Stage artist had their trailers.

Back to the Main Stage to check out Swedish House Mafia…That shit was intense! Die hards everywhere!!

We ended the night watching Amon Tobin…This shit was dope! He mixes audio/visual to make it a crazy experience!

1:00AM back at the Safari Lounge…Complimentary buffet!

Day 2:

Went to check out more off site events…This is where the homie Tal was at with ResQ Water!

& this is what a $25,000 a night, front yard looks like!!

Hard Rock Hotel Event…

Coachella grounds in full swing…

Can’t do without this VIP golf cart situation…It’s a MUST!

Went to check out Radiohead but can’t remember too much…was in full Coachella mode at that point! My first Coachella casualty was losing my camera! Probably lost it on the damn golf cart!! LOL…

Next went to go support the homie A$AP Rocky & the A$AP Mob!! I’ve watched them a dozen times but it doesn’t get old…Definitely on a scale like this!

The big homie Chace actin’ like a manager…LOL

Last Day:

Beer Garden…

The Main Stage looks even crazier in the day…

First show we checked out was Sanitgold…She killed it!

Next we went to check out Araab Muzik kill it on the MPC…This was one of my favorite sets! He turns the beat machine into an instrument, playing 8 instruments at once! Killer…

Before the big show was The Weeknd! This was one of the sets everything one was anticipating since he’s been very low key. Alot of people didn’t even know what he looked like. He told us last week it was his first time being out here on the West Coast & his first WC performance…Coachella’s not a bad start!

The Closer…Dre & Snoop! This performance was the most talked about show the entire weekend. All the special guests plus the resurrection of Tupac! The show was epic…
